The Fading Dream of a Blue Wave

Corporate Dems Suffocating Hopes for Change

If you thought the Republican Party couldn’t possibly win the upcoming midterm elections in the face of The Moron Presidency and the vaunted Blue Wave it spawned, you were wrong.

Despite controlling all three branches of our increasingly incoherent government, the Party of Class Warfare is doing well. While the hopelessly corrupt Democratic Party is poised for failure behind the tepid leadership of U.S. Sen. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Why?

It’s simple messaging. The Republican midterm lies are more believable than the Democratic midterm lies.

The Party of Class Warfare is undermining the popular backlash against it with a cynical but effective strategy: Running against class warfare.

Meanwhile, the hapless Corporate Dems are trying to sell the faltering middle class on the preposterous idea that their 30 year incumbents represent change and honesty. Instead of more of the same old political corruption, job destruction and class warfare.

Cue LBJ saying “that dog won’t hunt.”

How do Republicans get away with this kindergarten garbage?

It’s only possible because there is no meaningful alternative to them in our rigged electoral system. A fading democracy which gives voters the illusion of choice by pitting rich Republican crooks who support corporate greed, like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Moron-in-Chief Donald Trump, against rich Democratic crooks who support corporate greed, like Pelosi and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.).

Note: I know Cory personally and I’m not better for the experience. This Corporate Dem is a streaming pile of hedge fund excrement and a fake Liberal with no principles beyond shameless self promotion.

These toxic elites are a far cry from storied American leaders like George Washington, who were up to the challenges of  impulse control and leadership by example. When the Revolutionary War hero was approached by a friend about subverting democracy and becoming America’s first King, he not only said “no,” he said “hell no.”

“You could not have found a person to whom your schemes are more disagreeable,” Washington responded in 1782.

By contrast, the standard response of the scoundrels who now infect our Congress is more along the lines of “what’s in it for me?” Day after crooked day.

Gallup’s Congressional approval rating has ranged from 9 percent to 28 percent the past five years. While the rate at which our corrupt Senators and Representatives are re-elected is well above 90 percent. It was a ridiculous 97 percent in 2016.

How do the members of such a despicable body get re-elected with such regularity?

Rigged elections.

The two political machines give voters a choice between rich scum and country club feces, with predictable results. Just as they did in the bogus presidential election between Crooked Hillary and Donnie Trust Fund.

These Corporate Dems are not Liberals. They’re wealthy Wall Street cheerleaders who oppose the traditional Liberal principles of democracy, equality and freedom and embrace Fox News’ rebranding of Liberals as wealthy hypocrites.

Case in point, Pelosi herself. No one has done more to stifle populist change during The Moron Presidency than the daughter of the longtime mayor of Baltimore. The Democratic Party leader is a member of the Predatory 1 Percent and a veritable icon for political corruption who has amassed a $101 million fortune while in public office, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

This royal wannabee is so ridiculously self-absorbed that she should change her name to “Fuggin Pelosi.” Just to save everyone some time.

Pelosi, 78, actually accepted an invitation from Visa to participate in its initial public offering – just like an investment bank – at a time when legislation was moving through the Democratic-controlled House. She helped stymie it.

Cue Hannibal Lecter saying “Quid pro quo Clarice.”

It was an obvious conflict of interest for Fuggin Pelosi as Speaker of The House at the time. Still didn’t deter her.

According to CBS News:

“Pelosi is one of many lawmakers whose stock market trades could have been seen as a conflict of interest. The former speaker and her husband have participated in at least eight IPOs, one of which was from Visa in 2008 – just as a troublesome piece of legislation that would have hurt credit card companies began making its way through the House. The Pelosis purchased 5,000 shares of Visa at the initial price of $44 dollars. Two days later it was trading at $64.

She made $100,000 in two days, just by selling out the masses.

How’s that for legal bribery?

It’s right up there with the Clintons’ excessive speaking fees, Booker’s bogus charity, Obama’s excessive book deals, and Donnie Trustfund’s bogus reimbursement requests for working and sleeping at his own golf resorts.

Fuggin Pelosi is a child of privilege – just like Donnie Trust Fund. She attended private school and has never been without wealth, power, opportunity, lackeys and social standing. Her view of both the world and her proper place in it reflects those privileges. She has almost nothing in common with most of the Americans she claims to represent.

Fuggin Pelosi’s husband is a real estate magnate – just like Donnie Trust Fund – and a venture capitalist.

Republicans have astutely built their midterm campaigns around public resentment toward the aging Pelosi, who has spent the past 42 years with her snout buried in the public trough as a lifelong politician.

If you think it’s because she’s California’s best and brightest I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

The painful truth is that both political machines place themselves ahead of America by embracing the public fiction they represent voters instead of predatory financial interests. While privately selling out the masses every chance they get to provide political protection for criminal schemes as diverse as for-profit medicine, unlimited interest rates, payday lending, for-profit education, unlimited political donations by the rich, social media, military profiteering, and forever war.

Speaking of social media – the online version of America with no democracy, equality or freedoms – guess who owns a ton of Facebook shares?

That’s right, Fuggin Pelosi.

Why does this kind of systemic treason work?

It works because the rich crooks in Blue think saying “we’re not as evil as the other corrupt political machine selling protection to Wall Street” is a winning strategy.

It’s not.

By contrast, the rich crooks in Red understand that the masses want change. They’re not going to give us change, but they understand that we want it and frame their lies accordingly.

What’s the answer?

Well, The Founding Fathers – who were old school Liberals to a man – viewed free elections as an alternative to revolution in the streets. They were meant to be a form of peaceful revolution.

By short circuiting that safety valve our modern day royals are giving the masses a choice between modern regicide and being leveled with the lowest paid workers in a global economy with neither a global government nor global labor protections.

Get it?

We’re facing a lifetime of debt slavery, America.

This is not a Reality TV show and no one is going to do your fighting for you.

Why are you still here?

Story’s over.

There’s no happy ending. This is the real world. Where you don’t count for shit so long as you keep playing this ridiculous game by voting for corporate royals, rich people and celebrities.

What’s the bright side?

In a couple years you can vote for Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton. Who learned everything they need to know about the struggles of decent working Americans from their servants.

Ever ride a declining society into oblivion before?

Yeah, me neither.

Good luck.

The Cynical Times is a non-partisan, pro-democracy website which opposes political corruption and profits-over-people, and champions the faltering middle class. We support the traditional Liberal principles of democracy, equality, freedom and regicide. Principles which have been embraced by patriotic American leaders as diverse as LBJ, FDR, Lincoln, Ike and every single one of The Founding Fathers.

  1. May I just say what a relief to find a person that truly understands what they are
talking about over the internet. You actually understand
how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
More and more people have to read this and understand this side of the story.

It’s surprising you are not more popular because you certainly have the

  2. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb

I have very little expertise in computer
programming however I was hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, if you have any recommendations or
techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this
is off subject but I just wanted to ask. Many thanks!
